| Abstract : | [Abstract] One of the authors entered a diving simulator of the Marine Science and Technology Center and observed the following three items when the atmospheric pressure was changed: dental arch, surface of occlusal teeth contacts, and degrees of separation of teeth. The results of the present study are as follows: 1. The dental arches were constricted as the atmospheric pressure was elevated. 2. As a result, each tooth was pressed and dislocated individually in a movable direction depending on the planting conditions and the conditions of contact points, supposingly resulting in the dispersion of changes in the transverse diameters. 3. A tendency to increase was observed at the elevated pressure both in the contact areas of occlusal surface and the degrees of separation of teeth. |
