Abstract : | [Abstract] Recently, a method of analysis termed, "Six degrees of freedom" has been applied in routine in clinical use for collecting information about mandibular movements, and several studies have been reported. However, this analysis provides mostly qualitative information by tracing the movements at measuring points on a plane. We designed a system which analyses the six degrees of freedom mandibular movements and which provides additional quantitative information by angle measurement. In this study, we applied the system to set the condylar guidance inclination of the semi-adjustable articulator. |
