Abstract : [Abstract] An interval from the primary injection to the first booster shot has been studied to find out how to influence production of humoral antibody. Immunized rabbits with human IgG by the method of sodium alginate adjuvant and a series of booster shots were given to the groups varying at intervals of 7, 15, 21, 30 and 60 days after the primary injections. Anti-IgG antibody production in rabbits of the longer interval group after the primary injections till the booster shots, at 60 days, was found in higher levels than the groups of 7, 15, 21 and 30 day intervals. The titers of the individuals in this group were varying from 1 : 64 to 1 : 256. Although a series of five booster shots was given at intervals of every 10 days, the level of developing anti-IgG antibody was enhanced almost to the maximum level by two or three booster injections.
