Abstract : [Abstract] After rabbits were sensitized by an injection of serum protein, when they received a reinjection of the same antigen on an ear, it is found that the local allergic reactions characterized by intense edema and swelling develope at the injected ear, and a minimum requirement of the antigen for the development of inflammatory reactions, an onset time to induce allergic reactions by a reinjection after a sensitization injection, a minimum requirement of the antigen with the reinjection for allergic reactions, a relation between the formation of inflammatory reactions and the precipitating antibody, and an effect of cortical steroid hormone on the development of allergic reactions were investigated.
