Abstract : [Abstract] As a medicolegal application, the red cell adherence test developed by I.Davidsohn et al. was used in the examination of blood groups from nails (0.05 mg), with the result that the determination of blood group was possible by this technique in all the cases of A-type (84 cases), B-type (49 cases), and AB-type (22 cases), totalling 155 cases ; the detected blood group coincided with the true blood group even in samples which had elapsed three years (20 cases) ; and compared with the elution test, the red cell adherence test was more sensitive, determination from minute samples possible, and its techniques comparatively simpler than the elution test. In this experiment, cells were stained with Amido Black 10B to facilitate the discernment.
