Abstract : [Abstract] Ear wax is one of the important characters in forensic medicine (establishing parenthood) and anthropology genetics because it can be used as an auxiliary material for examining blood groups. There are the dry type and the wet type of ear wax and they appear under the rule of allelomorphs on autosomes in Mendelian Laws. The authors' interest was drawn to this substance, and blood grouping from ear wax was experimented by the red-cell adherence test. The existence of correlation between saliva group (secretor and non-secretor) and ear wax group was also investigated. The determination of blood groups from ear wax was possible in all fresh ear wax (109 cases) and all stale ear wax (20 cases left in the room for 250 days). Furthermore, no correlation existed between the blood group substance in saliva and types of ear wax.
