Abstract　： [Abstract] Anti-Stre.mutans serum and anti-Staph. aureus serum were made by immunization of rabbits. The antibody titre of both antisera were 1 : 256 with slide agglutination test, by using the antisera the growth inhibition activity of the antisera against Staph. aureus and Stre.mutans was examined in vitro by the use of solid and liquid media (brain heart infusion). This experiment was carried out to study the immunological cross-reaction between Stre.mutans and Staph. aureus. From the experiment it was recognized that the rabbit anti-Stre.mutans serum can not strongly inhibit the growth of Staph. aureus but that rabbit anti-Staph. aureus serum can not inhibit the growth of Stre.mutans. The results were shown on the solid and in the liquid media.
