Abstract　： [Abstract] This is a review of current trends in the development of new materials and techniques for crown and bridge. The discussions and reviews cover the following major topics in the branch of prosthodontics. Part 1 : A review of current trends, Part 2 : Recent development of new materials, Part 3 : Recent development of new techniques. In conclusion, a perspective on obligations toward our patients is suggested in this field and, in order to pursue this responsibility, our wise choice of new materials and techniques should also be considered from a clinical aspect.
