Abstract : [Abstract] Dental xeroradiography demonstrates excellent resolution due to its edge effect in comparison to conventional radiography. Eight clinical cases were studied using this new imaging technique (the 110 system), and were compared to conventional intraoral films for the edge effect. Although dental xeroradiography had a lower subjective contrast, making it difficult to recognize the presence of a lesion, the true diagnostic significance of xeroradiography lies in the diagnosis of lesions through its superior edge contrast.
