Abstract : [Abstract] To accelerate the formation of the gypsum crystal on the enamel surface for the crystal bond system, the enamel surface was treated with four kinds of calcium salt solutions such as CaCl2, Ca(OH)2, CaSO4・2H2O and CaHPO4・2H2O. In the case of the enamel surface pretreated with a 6.3mol/l CaCl2 solution, many small gypsum crystals were deposited. The pretreatment of the other solutions showed a poor crystal formation or lacked reproducibility. It was found that the application of the 6.3mol/l CaCl2 solution was most potent for the formation of the gypsum crystal on the enamel surface for the crystal bond system.
