Abstract : | [Introduction] Aging, as well as tumorigenesis, is one of the serious matters in our life, and should disclose the mechanisms of the subjects. Aging is not inseparable from the onset of tumorigenesis in many instances. We need to review their mechanisms of them severally. It is well known that the incidence rate of tumorigenesis increases in the elderly, and that the alteration of immune status is caused while aging. In recent studies new concepts about the explanation for the regulation of tumorigenesis has been accepted, since various genetical and biological technologies have been adapted on the tumor cell analysis, involving karyotypic examination, restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), cellular diffusion, and microcell transfer. Consequently, it was found that the chromosome was specifically lost in the tumor cells. On the contrary, various tumor suppressor genes were identified from the lost region of the chromosome in the cells with tumorigenesis. In addition, it was reported that loss of the putative cell senescence-related gene may lead to the immortality in the in vitro studies. |
