Abstract : [Abstract] This case report describes a salivary ductal carcinoma that generated in the right side parotid gland of a 71-year-old Japanese male. He visited our clinic complaining of a painless swelling in the parotid region on the right side on Oct. 23, 1987. The swelling was evident to the patient for ten years preceding our first examination. The radiographic examination, indicated a cyst-like radiolucent region, between the ramus and the parotid gland superficial lobe. The tumour was extirpated with the superficial and deep lobe of a parotid gland, all efforts to preserve the facial nerve were recognized. He has been survived at 6 year from the tumour extirpation. The tumour was examined immunohistochemically, epithelial membrane antigen, carcinoembryonic antigen and nonsquamous epithelium keratin were positive, vimentin and desmin were negative.
