Abstract : [Abstract] To study the rheological property of the liquids of three commercial conventional luting glass polyalkenoate cements (GPAC), the viscosity of the liquid, the weight average molecular weight (= mean molecular weight, MMW), the number of average molecular weight (MMN), the polydispersity (MMW/MMN) and the concentration of polyalkenoic acid in the liquid and the component and concentration of a low-molecular weight acid in the liquid were analyzed. The viscosity of the three GPAC liquids was dependent on the concentration of polyalkenoic acid in the liquids and was not related to the MMW and the polydispersity of polyakenoic acid. The concentration of polyalkenoic acid was 40.7-45.7 mass% and the MMW of the polyalkenoic acid was below 10x104. Only tartaric acid as a low molecular weight acid could be detected in all liquids and the concentration was about 10 mass%.
