Abstract : [Abstract] Vascular regeneration after the application of enamel matrix protein (EMP) for tooth replantation was examined with resin cast models. The vascular network partially regenerated 30 days after tooth replantation in the control group. An avascularized area was observed in the alveolar socket. The vascular network almost regenerated in the experimental group to which EMP had been applied. The regeneration ratio for the experimental (EMP) group was 97.39% while that for the control group was 82.26%. These findings demonstrated that EMP effectively acted on the vascular regeneration of the periodontal ligament.
