Abstract : [Abstract] A two-year-old Japanese girl with the retarded eruption of the maxillary right primary canine and the malformation of the maxillary primary molars was examined. The crown part of the maxillary right first primary molar was decayed by dental caries and had concavity on the half of the occlusal surface. The periodontal tissues on the maxillary right posterior region were swelled and erythrogenic change was slightly observed. Furthermore, the malformation on the permanent successor and the deciduous teeth was recognized by X-ray examination. According to the history, taking the maxillary right first primary molar had already erupted on the day seven after birth. Therefore, it can be thought that the disturbance of development occurred on the permanent successor and the deciduous teeth as a result from the ostitis caused by infection on the neonatal tooth because appropriate dental treatment had not been administered more than two years.
