Abstract : A79-year-old female patient complaining of discomfort in the upper lip due to swelling that had persisted for a few months sought medical attention at our institute. The lesion was located in the right upper lip, which was elastic-soft and mobile. It was clinically diagnosed as a minor salivary gland tumor and was surgically excised. Histopathologically, the excised specimen was diagnosed as lymphoid hyperplasia. Lymphoid hyperplasia of the upper lip is an extremely rare disease and to our knowledge there are no published reports concerned with this disorder in this specific location.
