Abstract : | [ABSTRACT] In ordinary dental treatment, the roughness of the prepared surface of abutment teeth and isolated enamel substance near the finishing line after abutment preparation are factors resulting in a poor prognosis for fabricated prosthodontic devices due to a reduction in the accuracy of the fit. We developed three kinds of surface-grinding tips to be fitted to an ultrasonic generator. Each kind had two types of tip : one coated with diamond stones and the other without. In this paper we compare the grinding efficacy of these six different types of tip. |
