Abstract : [ABSTRACT] In this research, the morphological changes of the gingival microvasculature after ultrasonic tooth preparation were observed under a scanning electron microscope by the micro vascular resin cast model. Beagle dogs were used as the experimental animals. A newly developed diamond tip was used for as ultrasonic wave instrument. A conventional diamond bar was used for the dental turbine. Premolars and molars were prepared along the gingival margin. Deep chamfered finishing line was created. In the observation of the resin cast model, ultrasonic waves do not negatively affect the microcirculation of the gingiva. It was suggested that ultrasonic preparation is greatly useful for clinical use in the future.
