Abstract : [ABSTRACT] We examine the effects of a combined administration of bisphosphonate and vitamin K2 (MK4) on the femur trabecular structure in overiectomized (OVX) mice. We used 9 weeks old female ICR mice. The mice were divided into five groups. We administrated drugs during 2 months. For assessment of the bone trabecular structure, the extracted femur were analysed three-dimensionally by micro-CT with regard to bone structural parameters. As a result, the bone trabecular structure was better preserved in the drug administration than in the OVX-contrel group. But, during in the drug administration groups, the trabecular structure was similar to that. There was no synergistic effect in the trabecular structure due to the combined administration of bisphosphonate and vitamin K2.
