| Abstract : | [Abstract] We reviewed the number of health advice sessions provided by Japanese municipal authorities on periodontal disease and different types of lifestyle-related disease, and the potential for providing such advice, with the aim of increasing both the number of sessions provided and the number of individuals receiving this advice as a risk management strategy. In fiscal year 2015, periodontal disease was the disease with the largest number of advice-seekers per health advice session, suggesting a high level of public interest in this condition. By adopting a common risk factor approach and liaising with the local community, health advice sessions may help to extend healthy longevity and reduce health inequality. |
