| Abstract ： | 「1. まえがき」 乳臼歯, 大臼歯, 小臼歯の頬側に現われる異常結節は臼旁結節 paramolar tubercle(Bolk)と呼ばれているが, 特に下顎大臼歯の近心頬側咬頭protoconidの旁にあるものはProtostylid(Dahlberg)と呼ばれることがある. これらの異常結節は近心寄りに現われることが多いが, 中央近くに位置することもあり, 時として遠心寄りに現われることもある. 広義の乳歯群(大臼歯を含む)においてはこれらの異常結節は比較的よく見られるものである. しかし, 代生歯群(小臼歯)においてはこの種の異常結節は相当稀なものと見なされている. これらの異常結節の形態は類円錘形から2～4個の2次結節を有する過剰臼歯冠様の外観を呈する. このようにその形態は多種多様であり, その大きさも目立たない小隆起から過剰歯の癒合を思わせるようないわゆる双生歯形まで大小不同である. |

| Abstract ： | Fifty teeth with paramolar tubercles combined with or without root formation were studied. Ground sections were made to the well preserved three molars with marked maramolar tubercles. Histologic comparison was made as to the tubercle in question between the teeth with paramolar tubercles and those with Carabelli tubercles. Considerably lesser incidence of the tubercles and no definite consistency were found in the location of the abnormal tubercles. As to incremental lines of enamel no relation was observed between the tubercle and the cusps of the molar. The developmental disorder was found not only in the tubercles but also in the entire tooth. The comparable histologic picture was obtained in the sections of the Carabelli tubercle. From the result of the present study the author would interpret the paramolar tubercles are the products of pathologic development of the lateral dental lamina and would not accept their any phylogenetic significance which is supported by many scholars. |
