| Abstract ： | 補綴臨床ではしばしば顆頭の平均的な位置として, 耳珠後縁と外眼角を結ぶ線上で, 耳珠前方約13mmの点が用いられる. この点を平均的なHinge axis pointとした場合と実際に測定したHinge axis pointとのずれは種々発表されている. 今回, われわれは臨床的術式としてHinge axis pointを求める場合, 平均的な点(標準点)はどこにしたらよいか, また試行錯誤法によりHinge axis pointを測定する場合に, その出発点をどこにおいたらより能率的であるかについて, 被検者50名を選択し, その臨床的観察を行ない興味ある知見を得たので報告する. |

| Abstract ： | It is always one of the fundamental requirements to mount the casts accurately to an articulator. For this purpose, "Hinge Axis Method" is commonly used among many practioners. A study was undertaken to determime the extent of variation in positions of the terminal hinge axis points from arbitrarily marked points. Out of fifty subjects examined, eighty five per cent of the terminal hinge points were found within the five mm. radius, and fourty two per cent of the points were in the different directions in more than three mm. between left and right rotation center of condyles. Therefore, the accurate location of the terminal hinge points is recommended for clinical prosthodontics. |
