Abstract　： 「抄録」 Burkitt腫瘍は, 中央アフリカリンパ腫とも言われ, 1958年英国の外科医Burkittによって報告された小児の悪性リンパ腫である. 近時, 英国, 米国及びアジアにおいてもニューギニア地域で散発的な報告がなされている. 我国においては, 大星の2症例が報告され, ついで今村によって北海道で発見された1例が追加されているにすぎない. 我々は神奈川県横須賀市に在住の14才に発病し, 16才にて死亡した男子の症例に遭偶し, 臨床的並びに病理学的に定型的なBurkitt腫瘍である事を確認した. 本論文は患者生存中に生検材料を採取し, 光学顕微鏡的に検索すると同時に, 多数の電子顕微鏡標本を作成し, 腫瘍細胞の特徴, virusの検索を行い, 併せてBurkitt腫瘍の診断に対するcriteriaとその分類学的位置づけについて若干の考察を加えた. 本症例は組織学的には, 中型の未分化なリンパ球性細胞の密な増殖から成り, その中に散在性に大型の明るい組織球性細胞が認められ, いわゆるstarry sky像の所見を示しているリンパ球系の悪性腫瘍である. 電子顕微鏡的には, リンパ球より大型の円型ないし楕円型の細胞が密に存在し, 多くは極めて不正形で核膜の彎入が高度なものが多く, 原形質は極めて乏しい. 又, 悪性リンパ腫で, しばしば認められるnuclear cytoplasimic projectionの所見をみる. 原形質は成熟リンパ球に比較するとやや豊富であるが, 最も特徴的な事は多数のfreeのリボゾームが存在し, ポリゾームを形成する事である. 糸粒体は球状に腫大し, 膨化し, 原形質の一部に集って存在する傾向がある. 小胞体は極めてわずかに認められるにすぎない. 脂肪滴及び空腔が認められる場合がある. これらの所見から低分化型リンパ肉腫と診断した. なお, virus particlesは証明できなかった. また, 通常の低分化型リンパ肉腫と比較して, Burkitt腫瘍を決定出来る形態学的特徴は証明できなかった. この症例の臨床所見並びに病理剖検所見については, 横山が口腔外科学会雑誌に詳細な報告をする予定である.

Abstract　： Histopathological and electron-microscopic observations on biopsy from Burkitt's lymphoma of 16 years old male patient living in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, were reported. In addition, diagnostic criteria of Burkitt's lymphoma and the characteristics of the tumor cell were discussed. This case was lymphosarcoma which histopathologically showed clear starry sky pattern, and was poorly differentiated lymphosarcoma by its electron-microscopic findings. Nuclear cytoplasmic projection which is one of the characteristics of Burkitt's lymphoma was found but virus particles were not observed. Detailed clinical findings and autopsy studies are now being prepared to be published in Japanese Journal of Oral Surgery by Hiroshi Yokoyama et al.
