Abstract　： 「抄録」 マウスのEhrlich腹水ガン細胞をグリセリン溶液に浮游させて凍結保存をおこない, その保存細胞の移植能をしらべた. できるだけ同細胞の移植活性を失消させることなく保存し得る凍結温度と, グリセリンの添加濃度等について検討を加えた結果, グリセリンの添加濃度を5～10%の割合にして, -20℃から-70℃で保存した場合, 保存温度が低い程, 長期間の保存に耐え得ることが判明した. グリセリンの濃度を5～10%に保ち, -70℃で同細胞を200日間保存した場合においても, 移植活性は保持されるが, -30℃で保存した場合では, 5日間程度の細胞活性を保つことは可能であったが, 長期間の保存では移植能の低下が認められた. また, グリセリン浮游液の細胞は, ある程度, 凍結解凍を操りかえしても, 移植活性能は保たれた. 従って本凍結保存法を応用することによって, マウスのEhrlich腹水ガン細胞をかなりの長期間保存することができる.

Abstract　： Mouse Ehrlich acsites tumor cells were proved storable by freezing. They showed no marked reduction of transplantation activity to mice when glycerol was employed as a protective substance. The final glycerol concentration of 5 to 10% seemed optimum to inhibit inactivation of the cells attendant upon freezing and thawing. -30℃ was adequate for relatively short storage period of up to two weeks. Lower temperature, however, seemed more desirable for longer preservation. The cells stored at -70℃ with 5-10% glycerol kept high transplantation activity after 200 days.
