Abstract : The incidence of fused teeth in the primary dentition is comparatively high. A number of cases of fused teeth have been reported. Most of these reports, however, are on the fusion of two normal teeth or a combination of a single normal tooth with a supernumerary tooth. It is said that the fusion of three teeth is very rare in the primary dentition. This is a very rare case of tooth fusion of 「ABC associated with 2 sets of fused BA| I and AB, which appeared in a 3-year old male infant. The following findings were obtained by the macroscopic and radiographic examinations. 1. 「A and 「B are fused entirely, to which coronal half of 「C is fused. A| and B|, A and B are respectively entirely fused. 2. Except for the three sets of fused teeth, a number of malformed teeth are found in this subject. 3. A congenitally. missing tooth is visible in the mother's dentition, although the state of her primary dentition is unknown. This finding together with the above-mentioned findings suggests that the incidence of a number of malformed teeth including the three sets of fused teeth in the infant is due mainly to an environmental factor and partly to a constitutional factor related to heredity.
