| Abstract ： | 「緒言」 頭部X線規格写真は, 頭部の解剖学的形態の把握にきわめて利用価値の高いものである. 矯正学領域においても, 有効かつ多量の情報を臨床に与えている. すなわち, 同一条件で撮影されているため, 症例の形態学的評価, 治療経過の検討, 成長の把握など, さまざまな面で利用されている. しかしながら, 一個体の治療あるいは成長に伴なう顎顔面頭蓋形態の差異や変化量はわずかなものであり, 正確な評価を行なうためには, 基準となる計測点が問題となる. 計測点の設定に際しては, 解剖学的形態とそのX線像への表われ方との相互関係を充分に理解しておくことが必要であるが, そのためにはよいX線写真を得なければならない. 近年, edge効果の高いxero-radiographyの開発により, きわめて鮮明で美しい画像を得ることができるようになった. しかし, 通常の頭部X線規格写真に比べて, 2倍から十数倍の被曝線量を伴なうことから, 一般化されているとはいいがたい. |

| Abstract ： | Abstract : Roentogeno-cephalograms are very useful to understand the anatomical morphology of cranio-facial complex. But one of the most important problem is reproducibility of reference landmarks which influences orthodontic case analyses, investigation of treatment effect, growth study, etc. The present study is to compare the definition from variation of setting error of landmarks between the original lateral cephalograms and the edge-enhance cephalograms which have been taken from one pair of male and female. In consequence, the following findings were obtained. 1. Many landmarks had a significantly smaller setting error distribution on the edge-enhance cephalogram than on the original cephalogram. 2. The edge-enhance method produced a far better effect on decreasing the setting error of landmarks which had been regarded as difficult to identify on the original cephalogram. 3. It was indicated that more and exact informations could be obtained to orthodontics with introduction of the edge-enhance method. |
