Abstract : 「緒言」 1927年, LandsteinerおよびLevineは, ABO式血液型と関係ない新しい凝集原をみいだし, これをM凝集原およびN凝集原と名づけた. その後, SchiffおよびWienerらは, Landsteinerらの報告が正しいことを立証し, MN式血液型が確立された. この血液型は, MとNの1対の対立遺伝子よりなり, 因子型は, MM, MNおよびNNの3種類に分かれ, 表現型は, M型, MN型, N型に分類されている. 出現頻度については, Cleghornによる英国人1,000人についての成績, および古畑, 中島, 池本らによる日本人312人についての報告がみられる. また, M, N凝集原は, ヒトの血球以外の臓器, 分泌液, 体液などには証明されないといわれている. しかし, Hansonは唾液中に, 勾坂らは白血球, 血小板およびリンパ球中にも存在すると報告している. MN式血液型は, ABO式血液型とともに, 個人識別, 親子鑑別などの有力な方法として法医学領域で広く利用されている.

Title : Study on Determination of MN Blood Group from Dental Pulp

Abstract : Abstract : MN blood group, similarly to ABO blood group, has been widely utilized in medicolegal identification as an effective method for individual and paternity identification. According to the studies made by various scientists, the results of the methods of MN blood group determination were inferior to those of ABO blood group test regarding the required amount of blood stain and its change with time. Although the tooth is an important material for identification, nothing has been reported on the identification by MN blood group from the tooth. Perceiving that the pulp is the least affected by external stimulation of all the dental tissues, experiments were made on the determination of MN blood group. Included in the experiment were basic studies for the purpose of supplementing the above-mentioned defects of the method such as comparison of antibody titers of antiserum by the change of PVP concentration, absorption time and dissociative agent. In its exertion, simultaneous determination of ABO and MN blood groups weighing with the quantity of stain, and repetition tests of ABO and MN blood groups in the same sample by elution test were made, with results as follows : 1. MN blood group determination from the pulp : It is possible to determine MN blood group from the pupl if 1.5mg or more material is available. 2. Simultaneous determination of ABO and MN blood groups from pulp : If 2mg or more material is available, it is possible to determine both blood groups simultaneously from the pulp. 3. Repetition test for ABO and MN blood group determination on the same sample : It was observed that the sequence of MN blood group test followed by ABO blood group test gained better result. With regard to the simultaneous determination of both blood groups by repetition test, it was difficult to achieve it in the pulp. 4. Thus, the determination of MN blood group became possible. Furthermore, now that the determination of ABO and MN blood groups at the same time was proven to be possible, this method can be considered as an effective method of identification in forensic medicine.
