| Abstract ： | 「緒言」 1940年, Snyderは唾液中のLactobacilliを比色定量法により測定し, う蝕活動性試験に応用することを試みた. 当時, う蝕は酸産生菌とくにLactobacilliによって発症すると考えられており, 本菌を指標とするその他のう蝕活動性試験も多く報告されている. また, それらの試験法に比べ, Snyder testは操作性が優れていること, 判定が容易であることなどの点から広く臨床に応用され, その間Alban, 弓削らにより培地の改良がみられたものの, 現在もごく一般的なう蝕活動性試験のひとつとして用いられている. しかし, Snyder testおよびLactobacilliを指標とする試験法は, 病因論的にLactobacilliをう蝕発症の主要な原因菌としてとらえている点で真の意味でう蝕活動性を表現しているとは考えられない. 本学予防歯科外来では, 従来よりSnyder培地に若干の改善を加えた培地を用い, Swab法により採取したplaqueを検体とするPlaque Bacterial test(P B test)を実施してきた. |

| Abstract ： | Abstract : This study was conducted in order to compare the Snyder Test and the Plaque Bacterial Test, a swab test. The subjects were 151 pre-school children ranging in age from one to five years old and were examined at the preventive dental clinic at the Kanagawa Dental College. The relationship between the caries activity tests and the oral status was statistically analyzed. The following results were obtained : 1. The average number of decayed teeth was 0.8 in (-) group, 1.2 in (+-) group, and 1.7 in (+) group, at Snyder Test. 2. The number of the increments of decay after six months was 1.4 in (-) group, 1.6 in (+-) group, and 2.7 in (+) group, at Snyder Test. 3. It was shown that the Snyder Test score and PB Test score correlated significantly (P<0.001). From the results, it was suggested that the Snyder Test and the PB Test were useful for measures of caries activity. |
