Abstract : Abstract : Hologram interferometry is considered to be possible to observe the object in three dimensional planes, and moreover, an experiment can be performed for the object in non-contacting condition. Authors have applied this method into a mechanical study of full cast crowns with the various finishing lines, so that we can obtain the pertinent information on the mechanical features of restorations under loading. In present study, a experiment was carried out for full cast crowns (12% Au-Ag-Pd alloys) and a vertical loading with 50 Kg was applied and an evaluation was made in real-time hologram interferometry. Some of results are shown as follows; 1) Shoulder type of finishing lint showed the most remarkable stability against mechanical displacement regardless a type of loadings. 2) Chamfer type of finishing line showed an instability compared with shoulder type. 3) Knife edge type of finishing line showed the lowest stability among three types.
