Abstract : Abstract : Present tasks appointed to prosthesis are recoveries of functionings, morphology, and aesthetics, balance with stomatognathic system, and protection of remaining tissues. Especially, it is considered that rational distribution of occlusal force to mucosa and to abutment teeth should be the important factor for protecting the abutment teeth for partial denture. However, this is still no better than an assumption. In this connection, a trial was made for quantifying the movements of a denture in oral cavity utilizing bronchofiberscope. Experimental work were carried out as the preparation for such trial on the accuracy of pictures which exert influence on the projected image of the subject Summary & Results 1) No significant difference was observed on the image of a plain subject with the scaling-down of less than 4.6% except at the rightside 1/4 portion of the image. Large scaling-down to reach 12.2% was observed at the rightside of the image than that at the leftside comparing with that of the central portion. 2) Large scaling-down was observed on the image of the subject having deep depth. 3) Significant difference was not observed only at the portions nearest to the both sides of the boundary on the image of an angular subject. 4) No significant difference was observed only at the central portion of the image of a cylindrical subject. Scaling-down at the both sides of the image reached 20% mark compared to that at the central portion.
