Abstract : | In the previous study, it was recognized tbat the crystallizaticn of plaster in the case of wide w/p ratios by detection of x-ray diffraction peaks of calcium sulphate hemihydrate and dihydrate. In this study, the crystal formation of a plaster at any time during setting was observed by scanning electron microscope, and the specimens were produced by using method of freeze-drying. The following results were obtained: 1) Immediately after start of mixing at the ratio of w/P=0.6, no the crystal of dihydrate was observed. 2) Few needle like crystal formations were observed at the initial setting time(Gillmore needle) with eath w/p ratios. 3) The crystal grew rapidly and increased in number after initial setting time. |
