Abstract : 「緒言」下顎運動は歯牙や顎関節の形態的要因, 筋神経組織などの生理的要因が関与し合い生じるものである. 運動を咬頭嵌合位(Intercuspal Position, 以下ICP)付近に限局した場合, 歯牙の接触滑走や咬合面形態は下顎運動に大きな影響を与えるものであり, これを客観的に把握することは日常臨床においても重要な問題である. ICPでは上下歯牙の咬合面が接触嵌合して安定した状態にあり, 正常有歯顎者においては中心咬合位(Centric Occlusion, CO)と同義語として, その意義は古くから認められてきた. McCollumを中心としたナソロジー学派においては顎位としての中心位(Centric Relation, CR)が重要視され, それに対応した咬合の基準位であるCOと一致させて咬合を付与することを目的とした. しかしPosselt, さらにAsh, Ramjfordにより, ICPは最も重要な機能的咬合位であり, CRと同義語である下顎後退位(Retruded Position, RP)はICPに対する顎位の基準位(Mandibular Reference Position)と考えられるようになってきた.

Abstract : Abstract : Clinical diagnosis of occlusion should be included with mandibular function related to stomatognathic system. The objective of this study was to develop a system of displaying method of tooth grinding surfaces resulting from all eccentric movements within functional areas in reference of intercuspal position guided by visual feedback. Thereby, individual physiologic movement can be obtained in occlusal contacting relations for functional evaluation. The Sirognathograph Analyzing System(a modified type of an original apparatus, Siemens, Germany)was used in this study. A new software program developed made possible to display dimentional differences of tooth grinding surfaces by color blocks at rate of 0.2mm for various sections. Quantitative analysis of each subject was conducted by statistical evaluation. Six subjects were selected from students and staff of Kanagawa Dental College and they were divided into two with cuspid protected, one with group functioned, two with intermadiate type occlusions, and one with occlusal interference. Results of this study are shown as follows ; 1. It became possible to display tooth grinding surfaces within functional areas in reference of intercuspal position guided by visual feedback. Recorded surfaces were shown in different color blocks. 2. In comparison between cuspid protected and group functioned occlusions, the former showed steeper planes than the latter. 3. Quantitative analysis made possible for an evaluation tooth grinding surfaces in reference of intercuspal position, and results from lateral grinding movement showed in the least value among other eccentric movements. 4. A system of displaying method seems to be practical and contributing to functional evaluation of occlusion.
