Abstract : Abstract: Dental health services at the workshop, where people spend about forty-years of their adulthood, are important for the promotion of good health. The effective proceeding method with them and the concrete methodology for oral health maintenance, however, remain unclear. To provide information on these topics, the changes in oral conditions and the factors concerning in behavior modifications for dental health at a workshop, where dental health activities were in place, were analyzed. Subjects of the investigation were a group of employees at a certain enterprise with a dental health program, and they underwent dental health examinations for a period of 4 years after initial examination. They were divided into 4 subgroups: people who had received (n=193) or not received (n=111) dental treatment after participation, and people who participated in the program for three consecutive years (n=779), or in alternate years (n=124). Analyses were performed according to Hayashi's multidimensional quantification II and III. There was significant improvement (P<0.01) in periodontal condition (CPITN) in both groups received or not received dental treatment after participation, although improvement was greater in subjects who received treatment (P<0.01). Similarly, there was improvement in CPITN in both groups participated in the program for three consecutive or in alternate years, though the continuous group for three years showed greater improvement (P<0.01). Significancy and ranking of causative factors influencing decisions to receive dental treatment differed according to age group. Improvements in oral conditions and behavior modifications were greater in individuals who participated in the program for three consecutive years than in those who participated in alternate years.
