Abstract : 「緒言」根管治療の主な目的は, 根管内容物を可及的に除去し, かつ根管系を無菌的にすることであると言われている. これらの目的を達するためには, 症例により根管処置が数回におよぶことがあり, 根管の拡大・洗浄・貼薬等を行って仮封した後, 次回の来院を待つことになる. この期間中, 仮封操作が不適切であったり, 仮封材自体に欠陥があった場合には, 的確な根管処置が行われていても根管内に再汚染が生じ, 根管治療が無意味なものになってしまう. Seltzerら, EngstromとFrostell, WinklerとVan Amerogen, 永井らは, 根管治療が終了し根管内細菌培養検査で一度培養陰性が得られた場合でも, 根管充填時には陽性転化する場合があるとし, その原因の多くは仮封材からの漏洩の可能性と根管内無菌試験に用いる培地の性能などによるものとしている.

Title : The Sealing Property of Canseal as New Temporary Filling Material

Abstract : Abstract: Recentry, new temporary filling material in endodontic access cavities was developed in Showa Yakuhin Kako Co.LTD. The newly improved material is none eugenol cement, and no longer has an unpleasant smell or taste and is not irritating. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the sealing property of it and to compare it with the other materials using glass capillary tube and extracted teeth in vitro. Experimental materials were Canseal, Eugedain (Showa Yakuhin Kako Co. LTD.) and Cavit-G (ESPE, GMBH). Sixty glass capillary tubes were used. They were divided into six groups and three experimental materials were used to fill two groups each. One of them was immersed in a 1% Methylen blue dye solution (room temperature groups). The other one was immersed in a 1% Methylen blue dye solution at 4℃ and 60℃ for five cycles (thermalcycling groups). Then, all of them were stored in an inbubater at 37℃ for a week. In addition, a similar procedure was done using sixty extracted molor teeth. Sealing property was evaluated by observing with an objective microscope. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In the room temperature groups, sealing property showed successively in Canscal, Cavit-G and Eugedain. 2. In thermalcycling groups, sealing property showed successively in Cavit-G, Canseal and Eugedain. 3. As microleakage of Canseal and Eugedain groups observed between subject walls and materials, Cavit-G groups wese observed to have dye penetration into them. 4. These findings wese recognized in both glass tubes and extracted teeth groups.
