Abstract : 「緒言」 組織学的に歯肉は上皮と結合組織からなり, 上皮はさらに歯肉稜を境に口腔に面した口腔上皮, 歯肉溝側面を形成している歯肉溝上皮, 歯冠歯頸部に付着している付着上皮とに分類でき, これらのうち歯肉溝上皮と付着上皮とを総称して内縁上皮と呼ぶ. この内縁上皮直下には毛細血管の非常に密度の高い一層の血管網が存在し, この血管網を構成する毛細血管は他の口腔粘膜下や身体の皮膚・粘膜下の血管とは異なり, 血管内皮細胞に小孔を有する有窓性血管である. またこの血管網は, 発生学的には歯胚の縮合エナメル上皮に分布していた血管網が歯の萌出によって口腔に現われ, 口腔上皮下の血管網と癒合し改築されたもので, 口腔(外縁)側上皮下の血管とはその由来が異なり, 多数の有窓性血管が存在することが推察される. この血管網から浸出した浸出液は付着上皮細胞間隙を通過して歯肉溝に流出する. 電解質や血漿タンパク質を含む.

Title : Scanning Electron Microscopic Study of the Vascular Architecture Beneath the Sulcular and Junctional Epithelium of Dog Gingiva Under Plaque Control

Abstract : The blood vascular architecture between control (clinically healthy) and experimental (plaque control, followed by tooth brushing for 6 weeks by Bass method) groups of the dog gingiva was examined, especially focusing on the vascular bed just beneath the sulcular and junctional epithelium by scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy of tissue sections. The following results were obtained. 1) In gingival sections from a control group, a proliferation of the inner epithelium deep into the connective tissue, widespread exudate of lymphocytes and plasma cells were observed, especially in the connective tissue subjacent to the sulcular epithelium. On the other hand, almost no proliferation of the junctional epithelium into the connective tissue was observed and these epithelial cells were regularly arranged, but with a number of neutrophils at the intercellular spaces, suggesting an early inflammatory change in periodontal disease. 2) Vascular architectures of capillary bed just beneath the inner gingival epithelium from a control group were devided into hexagonal (fish-net), and a mixture of glomerular and fence-like types. 3) In gingival sections from a experimental groups, fequence in appearance of neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells was decreased in the connective tissue just beaneath the junctional epithelium. But only a few of inflammatory cells were observed, although gingival tissue appeared to be healthier clinically. 4) Vascular architectures capillary bed just beneath the inner gingival epithelium from a experimental group showed either hexagonal or its similar pattern, however, glomerulous-like pattern was never observed.
