Abstract : 「緒言」 う蝕は, 細菌感染を伴う生活習慣病の1種であるが, その発生要因は過去における生活習慣に起因し, さらに要因同士が関連しあい, より複雑化している. これまでにう蝕発生要因を追及したもの1~5)は乳幼児に関するものであり, 就学時前後のものは見当たらない. しかも要因同士が複雑に入り組んでいるためにう蝕そのものの要因を明確にしたとはいえない. この絡み合った要因を解き明かし, 今後の指導の一助にすることを目的に93年から札幌市白石区某小学校に就学した児童を対象に生活習慣に関するアンケート調査を行ってきた. しかし04年, 個人情報保護法の施行によって03年就学児童を最後としてアンケート調査は中断している. そこで, 03年に就学した児童が6年生になるのを機会に93年から03年までの11年間の某小学校におけるう蝕罹患の推移を調査するととも生活習慣と就学時における乳歯う蝕との関連性, さらに5年後の6年次における永久歯う蝕との関連性を明らかにしたい.

Title : A Statistical Analysis of Cariogenic Factors in Deciduous or Permanent Teeth from Dental Examinations of Elementary School in Shiroishi, Sapporo

Abstract : [Abstract] On the basis of dental examination of first-grade pupils (446 boys and 462 girls) at an elementary school from 1993 to 2003 in Shiroishi, Sapporo, and questionnaires to the mothers concerning nursing methods, dietary habits, tooth brushing, etc., cariogenic factors associated with dental caries in deciduous or permanent teeth were analyzed. The results were as follows: 1. The Canine-Molar (deciduous canine and deciduous molar) dmf person rate, the Canine-Molar dmf index, the DMF person rate, and the DMF index decreased slightly. However, the DMF index appeared to have stopped falling in sixth-grade pupils. 2. There were significant differences in deciduous dental caries depending on the order of birth, period of weaning, habit of eating sweet desserts, frequency of eating between meals, dressing of tooth-brushing with mother, mother's experience of dental caries, experience of applying fluoride, watching of TV at meals, and understanding the child's oral condition. In permanent dental caries, there were significant differences depending on the order of birth, period of wearing, frequency of eating between meals, experience of applying fluoride, watching of TV at meals and understanding of the child's oral condition. 3. The factors associated with prevalence of deciduous dental caries were understanding of the child's condition, mother's experience of dental caries, order of birth, frequency of eating between meals, period of wearing, and experience of applying fluoride. As for permanent dental caries, associated factors were the frequency of eating between meals, understanding of the child's oral condition, mother's experience of dental caries, period of wearing, weight at birth, and nursing method. There were numerous was correlation between some of categories, and by further analysis excluding the correlation, the factors in dental caries in deciduous or permanent dental caries.
