| Abstract ： | 「緒言」幼児では運動機能が未熟なために, 常に口腔外傷の危険性が高い. また口腔外傷の状況は成人と異なった様相を呈することが多く, 口腔顔面の成長発育に配慮した対応が必要となる. しかし受傷後に医療機関を受診するケースは少なく, 日常臨床で見かける口腔外傷は小児口腔外傷の全体の一部といえる. 現在, 幼児の口腔外傷の実態を把握した報告は, 医療機関を受診した者の実態調査1), が主であり, 我々が保護者に対して口腔外傷の説明をする際, 身近な環境の資料や説得力のある情報を提供できない. ゆえに医療機関の調査では把握しきれない口腔外傷の実態を把握し, 保護者が身近に感じられる資料作成が必要である. 我々は, 就学前児童のうち幼稚園児を対象とした, 家庭と幼稚園における口腔外傷の実態調査を行い, 幼稚園の調査結果を報告2)している. 今回は幼稚園児の家庭における口腔外傷の実態について検討した. |

| Abstract ： | [Abstract] The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence of oral injury in kindergarten children. We sent questionnaires to two kindergartens concerning oral injuries occurring at home. 1. No gender difference was noted regarding the experience and frequency of oral injury. 2. The incidence of injuries occurring at home was more than 3.9 times higher than that at kindergarten. 3. The most frequent diagnosis was soft tissue injuries. 4. Accidents occurred primarily in the evening and at night. The frequency of injury was higher inside compared outside. 5. Common causes of injury were falls and crashes (91.0%), and drops (7.0%). 6. More than half of the parents followed the progress of the injury, and only 17.8% underwent a medical examination. |
