Abstract　： At the Oral Science department of Kanagawa Dental University, we have many research themes that are consistent with "Bench to Bedside", which is the philosophy of translational research. One is periodontal disease prevention / periodontal tissue regeneration research and the other is an analysis method used to diagnose the whole body based on the oral cavity. This is consistent with "Progress in this research area that the university has led" and "Advancement of scientific elucidation related to the oral cavity and the whole body" shown in our graduate school's master plan. Currently, we find that our basic dental research can be applied to systemic diseases, and that it is a meaningful study area of study for the elderly and those with lifestyle-related diseases. Based on these results, we apply our research to a wide range of fields such as medical care, nursing care, and other areas, as well as developing new clinical research at Kanagawa Dental University.
